Ever wonder where we as a whole will end up in the next 50 years?

Some say we will enter a new stage of technology and live in a world similar to The Jetsons. Others say we will ditch earth and make home on other planets such as Mars. Let's take a run through as too whats happened in the past 50 years.

The last residential school in Canada was closed for good. - 1996

The Baiji, a freshwater dolphin of China is the first ever dolphin to be driven to the title of functionally extinct by human impact. - 2006

Earth's forests cover 31% of it's landmass, we have successfully cut down around half of the world's tropical forests. - 2018

The similarity between these facts? We destroy everything we touch. We are Death itself. Driven by greed and disrespect we have solely destroyed an entire planet. What kind of accomplishment is that?

With the kind of damage we have created in just the past 50 years, how much more it yet to come? Are we really going to be so technologically advanced in the future? Or are we going to single handedly cause the End of Days? I don't know about you but I want to live in this beautiful world we call Home and watch it and the creatures that live around us thrive.
